THE VOICE OF TRUTH

I tell you the Truth,

Revelation 12:
¹⁰Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
   "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God,
       and the authority of his Christ.
   For the accuser of our brothers,
       who accuses them before our God day and night,
       has been hurled down.
    ¹¹They overcame him
       by the blood of the Lamb
       and by the word of their testimony;
   they did not love their lives so much
       as to shrink from death.

There will come a day when time will cease to exist, when a judgment will arrive for all of creation.  And at that time, the enemy will meet his final destination and will be locked away for eternity in the place where there will forever be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

But until then, the enemy is alive.  He is at work.  He opposes truth.  He seeks to destroy everything that God builds up.  And as the scripture just told us, he accuses us day and night.

There are many voices in this world.  There is the voice of truth and voice of lies.  We cannot escape the voice of lies, for he is the prince of the air.  His home is here, among us.

It’s important to understand that there is a liar who accuses us day and night.  His purpose in accusing us is to drag us down, to convince us that we are defeated and that we cannot stand up to the world.

And while the voice of lies leads us to feel hopeless, lost and worthless, there is also a voice of truth.

The voice of truth gives strength, courage and the ability to stand firm.  The voice of truth cannot fail, cannot lie and cannot be defeated.  Truth always prevails.

Jesus said that He was the truth, the way and the life.  Whatever He speaks, it is.  He was there in the beginning and spoke creation into existence.  His words are eternal and will never pass away.  Jesus Christ is the truth.

In Christ and in Him alone, we are victorious over the world.  When everything comes against us, when we find ourselves destitute, confused, bewildered, there is a voice that will lift you up, dust you off and tell how special you really are.  Paul said that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  We can do all things because of the voice of truth says so.  He is in control.  He has already overcome the world, overcome death and overcome sin.

VOICE OF TRUTH

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I'm in
On to the crashing waves
To step out of my comfort zone
Into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is
And He's holding out His hand

But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again, "Boy, You'll never win!"
"You'll never win!"

But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
And the Voice of Truth says, "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth

Don’t follow the lie.  Listen for the voice of truth.  
And then choose to believe it.
He is faithful when nothing else is.
